Monozukuri Ventures(MZV) Announces Appointment Of Emi Makino, Associate Professor at Hiroshima University, to outside Board Of Directors

Associate Professor, Startup Promotion Division, Industry-Academia Collaboration Department, Hiroshima University. A board member of the Japan Venture Association.
She has covered many U.S. entrepreneurs for the Nihon Keizai Shimbun and Nikkei E-Biz. After working as a simultaneous interpreter, she earned her MBA and Ph.D. from Claremont Graduate University. She has taught entrepreneurship education at Kyushu University and Tokyo University of Science. She holds a BA from Sophia University and an MS from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.

Monozukuri Ventures, Inc. (MZV) is a Kyoto and New York-based company that manages venture investment funds for hard tech startups and provides technical consulting on hardware prototyping and manufacturing.
MZV was jointly launched in January 2020 by Darma Tech Labs, Inc. (Kyoto, Japan), which operated the Makers Boot Camp and FabFoundry, Inc. (New York City) to combine the resources and further support hard tech startups. MZV's first fund, "MBC Prototype Fund," was launched in the summer of 2017, and the second fund in 2021. To date, MZV has invested in 53 hard tech startups, 24 in Japan and 29 in the US. MZV also provides technical consulting services, leveraging our knowledge and network with manufacturers to help with prototyping to mass production. So far, MZV has supported more than 150 projects.
